Who we are

Urbanac Renovations & Architecture is a turnkey construction studio based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. We can be reached at info@urbanac.co.za or +27 12 361 2676.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you complete an enquiry form, email us or call us, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, telephone number, email address, suburb, the service you are interested in, budget and timing indications, and the description of your project.

We do not collect special personal information, and we do not ask for financial account details through the website.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations and programmes, arrange site visits or meetings, and manage the work if you appoint us.

We may contact you about your enquiry by email, telephone or WhatsApp, using the contact method you selected. We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is needed to do the work: with our own team, and where relevant with engineers, architects, subcontractors and suppliers appointed on your project.

We may also share information where the law requires it. Anyone we share information with is expected to keep it confidential.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for as long as they remain useful for the purpose you contacted us about. Project records are kept for the periods required by tax, building and professional obligations, after which they are deleted or archived securely.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to info@urbanac.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you believe we have handled your information incorrectly, you may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
